Lancaster Country Ride 2017
The Best Spring Ride in Texas
9:00am Saturday, April 8, 2017

This is the 18th annual staging of this event by the Greater Dallas Bicyclists and we expect it to be bigger than ever. The staging area is located at the Gazebo located at the north side of the Lancaster Historic Town Square. The entrance to the town square is the intersection of Dallas Ave. and Main Street turn east on Dallas Ave.

Breakfast on Rally Day: Come early to purchase pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice from the Boy Scouts. They will be at the First United Methodist Church, 201 South Dallas Avenue, across the street from the town square starting at 7am.

Mileage options: 24, 42 and 62 miles with a staggered start for safety. The 42 and 62 mile options take you on the Bluebonnet Trail via beautiful Sugar Ridge Road. Rest stops are situated every 12 miles with water, sports drink and fruit. GDB requires that helmets be worn by all participants.

Special Events in the Historic Town Square: The second Saturday sale will be set up on the sidewalks around the square on the covered walkway. Live entertainment and food services will be there for your pleasure. If you were there last year you know that after the ride there was dancing in the street inside the Historic Town Square and a great time was had by all. We look forward to seeing you all again this year for another amazing get together.

Visit the Shops of Lancaster Historic Town Square for a new shopping experience. New merchants with a wide variety of decor, toys, bicycles, rare books, antiques as well as restaurants. Sidewalk sale on that Saturday with special items available for your selection. Come join the fun and festivities.

Directions: To get to the start from I-20, take exit #470 and go south 4.2 miles on Lancaster Rd (Hwy 342). Lancaster Rd becomes Dallas Ave. and the Historic Square entrance is on Main St. to your left (east) at the Stop Light on Main St.
